Artist Stephanie Schlatter Celebrates “Song & Dance” with Exhibit at Byrneboehm Gallery
Press Release
(GRAND RAPIDS, MICH) – July 15, 2011 – Artist Stephanie Schlatter opened a new exhibit at
Byrnebohem Gallery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, titled “SONG&DANCE.” Her latest body of work was derived from the creations of everyday life, abstracting objects and forms and executing them in a new style. The show opened with a reception July 15, 2011, part of a two-artist show called “Cultivations/Celebration.”
Stephanie’s work celebrated the abandon you feel when immersed in song and dance. “You aren’t thinking about the past or the present,” says Stephanie, “you are submersed in that moment of celebration, and I hope this body of work is a permission slip for the viewer to celebrate their moments and to feel that element of celebration.”
Byrneboehm Gallery offers a range of styles from traditional landscape to contemporary mixed-media abstraction and showcases the creative culture of Grand Rapids.
Stephanie Schlatter is an artist who has displayed works in photography, acrylic, and acrylic on photography. Her works have appeared in dozens of shows in recent years.
